A Study On The Learning State Of English Of Higher Vocational Students

At present, the modern vocational education system has become a strong support for national competitiveness in China. Vocational English, which is an important part of it, is a required course for several of majors in higher vocational colleges in China. English is one of the most important languages for communication in the world. Higher vocational students can improve themselves by English learning, which is a favorable tool in their professional field for oral and written communication.However, there are some problems in their learning state.They should face the situation such as the weaking of English basic, lack of confidence, bad learning habits, low learning motivation, the wrong learning attitude and so on. Through the analysis of the questionnaire, we come to two main causes. The learning state of higher vocational students are mainly affected by two kinds of factors. The external factors is mainly related to English communication atmosphere, boring teaching contents and materials. The internal factors includes is related to the lower learning methods and habits. Finally, according to the survey, separately give some useful suggestions to improve higher vocational students' learning state.
