The Study On The Thought Of The Unity Of Zhouyi And Buddhism In Zhou-yi-chan-jie

In the end of West Han Dynasty,Buddhism is combined with the native culture of China.We can find literature merging Zhouyi and Buddhism together in all ages.During Ming and Qing Dynasties,both Yi-ology and Buddhism experienced ups and downs.The literature about combination of Zhouyi and Buddhism is more mature than before.Monk Zhi-xu merged the Buddhist thought with Yi-ology together systematically and penetratingly in his literature Zhou-yi-chan-jie,which become an important classic merging Confucianism and Buddhism in the end of Ming Dynasty.Based on the thinking background of Zhou-yi-chan-jie and consulted to Monk Zhi-xu's writting purpose and process,this literature analyze the text characteristics of Zhou-yi-chan-jie and elucidate the comprehensive understanding of it's thought from three aspects--the theory of human nature,the moral practicethe and the theory of realm.In the theory of human nature,the literature discussed the concept of Yi,Buddha and Zhen-Ru,and came to a conclusion that these concepts are consistant in essence;In the moral practicethe,the literature discuss the commonality in Yin-yang,six lines,nine trigrams in Xi-Ci and Buddhist practice;In the theory of realm,the literature discussed the fusion of "Yuan Heng Li Zhen",the three implications of "Yi",the "internal saints and external kings" and the realm of Buddhist practice.Then the literature summarize the characteristics of the fusion based on it's content and point out that Monk Zhi-xu's Zhou-yi-chan-jie is a literature of interpreting the text and commentaries of Zhou Yi based on the Buddist conceptual framework,in which tiantai thought is occupied the main position,the thought of Pure Land sect,Hua-yansect and other sects is also contained.The writer's purpose is to"induce the confucianism to realize the thought of Buddhism".No matter whether the Monk Zhixu reach his goal or not,the creative merging of Zhouyi and Buddhism in his literature is a valuable reference for afterward scholars to understand the relationship between thought of Confucianist and Buddhism.
