A Text Research Into Ang Lee’s Films

From “Family Triology” on,Ang Lee,who keeps effecting the World cinema by active works,has been getting reputation all around the world by using his special cultural view and creative film technique.He returned to the public view with<Billy Lynn’s Long halftime Walk>,which innovated the technique.In theoretical meaning,broadening the view of studying is good to later researchers.In practical meaning,digging the abundant connotation of Ang Lee’s film text will do good to the Chinese film creation or even inspire the world’s films.The existing researches mostly focus on parts of Ang Lee’s films,and the year of these studies is also far from now.Therefore,this study,which tries to do a systematical research into Ang Lee’s films,started from the view of text.The study is divided into two parts:content and form.Firstly,discriminate the hidden compromising view of humanity by three main themes.Looking for the shaking of western “myth” by inspecting the game between East and West.Restore the changeable gender view by analyzing the characters.Ang Lee’s film texts have an insight into humanity and the society,but be apt to show more than to look for the way out,even the ways given are compromising,too.Secondly,exploring the new and changing features of form.I found that the text form pays attention to both guiding audiences and saving space for intepretaion,using both Hollywood skills and new creative ways.The new film techniques which pushes the discussion of Cinema Onthology and the development of film forward,is especially tentative.Futhermore,this study analyses profoundly into the character language,music,acting and so on.By the work of all these,this paper digs further and supplied the neglected parts in existing conclusions.
