Translation Strategy In Handling Cultural And Linguistic Differences From The Perspective Of Interpretive Theory

2016 is the first year of the 13th Five-Year Plan and a decisive stage in finishing building a moderately prosperous society in all respects. The Five-Year Plan of China is the first to record the Five-Year Plan, which is supposed to show by characteristic stories and individual experience the sound momentum of the economic development in China and people's growing confidence.The method of the practice is consecutive interpreting. The interpreter selects the first and part of the second episode as the source text. Cultural and linguistic differences have been found during interpreting; which hinders the process of interpreting. Therefore, under the guidance of Interpretive Theory, some interpreting strategies are applied in this report. Besides, some cases are analyzed by using various interpreting strategies.This report is composed of three parts: an introduction,the main body and a conclusion.The first chapter deals with a task description,focusing on interpreting background and significance of the study. Furthermore, based on the source text, this chapter involves an introduction to the Interpretive Theory.The second chapter focuses on the interpreting process, illustrating the preparation and interpreting procedure. Besides, cultural and linguistic differences are shown as the obstacle to interpretation.The third chapter is a case analysis. Under the guidance of Interpretive Theory,the interpreter adopted various interpreting strategies to break the barriers to make sure that the interpretation is appropriate and smooth.The last part is the conclusion. The author summarizes the questions and experience learned from this report.This report covers a wide range of fields, involving lots of terminologies, which enjoys some practical value. Meanwhile, the interpreter would like to summarize and make preparations for further interpreting.
