Liang Yuan-dong Historical Research

Liang Yuan Dong(1901-1968),a famous historian of the 1930s,is nationally known for studying Chinese political society history,historical theory,history education of research,etc.This thesis,studies Liang Yuan Dong’s academic activities and main representative works,combining the development trend of modern Chinese history,makes a relatively comprehensive exploration for his academic origin,historical achievements,historical thoughts,and research methods,tries to summarize his historical contribution,historical thoughts and characteristics objectively and truly,highlights the uniqueness of Liang Yuan Dong’s historiography accurately,and provides some useful references and enlightenment for further academic research.The full text is divided into four parts:the first part is the brief introduction of the research status on Liang Yuan Dong and research significance.The second part is the life and academic activities of Liang Yuan Dong,which is mainly divided into four periods to expound,namely,Peking University period,Great China University period,the teaching period in universities of southwest,Shanxi University period.The third part discusses the conditions in compiling history textbooks during the period of the Republic of China.The fourth analyses a more mature book "Chinese Political and Society History" of Liang Yuan Dong.
