Study Of Lu Tian's Poetry

Lu Tian,one of the few literators of reformational party in North Song Dynasty who still keep collected works,had written a lot.However,because many his literary works are lost,and he is famous for his opinion on "Book of Songs" and ceremony,he don' t have significant reputation of literature.He had been an official for more than thirty years.In the earlier stages he was smooth while in the later stages he was rough.His life reflected the universal existence of officials in the confliction between reformational party and conservative party.Now there are 225 poems of Lu Tian,most of them are written for his friends.If we classify his poems in detail,we will find poems about objects,festivals,mourning poems,traveling,reward,history and so on.We can also realize his family and his 182 friends from his literary works.Both reformational party and conservative party have his friends,which reflects complicated interpersonal relationships at that time.His teacher Wang Anshi,his student Wang Sheng,and his best friend Kong Pingzhong are his most related people.Lu Tian' s literary theory is based on poetics of Confucianism.He insisted that lieterature should develop elegance,and be a way to spread method,which lead that there are many Confucian languages in his poems,made his poems sermonic,just as his scholar image.Effected by the Book of songs,Lu Tian wrote his uncalmless into his works,especially in his late life when he was always disgraced,which become his style.And effected by the atmosphere of writing poems by knowledge,Lu Tian liked investigating the origin of language,which made his poems intensively use the allusions,and which made his poems elegant and delicate.From the aspect of poetic origins,Lu Tian extensively absorbed.Wang Anshi effected him most.Fang Hui related Lu Tian and Xikun members,Hu Su.Su Xiangxian learnt that there are something similar between Lu Tian' s and Wang Yuchen' s Poems from Su Song' s words.These conclusions shows Lu Tian had some changes while he inherited sumptuous style from Xikun Style.From this aspect,Lu Tian can be seen as one of the later Xikun members.Though Lu tian isn't famous for his poems,as Lu You's grandpa,he have great effects on Lu You.If we want to overall study Lu You,the great poet,Lu Tian will be a ispensable perspective.Just from this aspect,Lu Tian should not be ignored in the history of literature.What' s more,Lu Tian has his corresponding status for Wang group,the later Xikun members,his family and the acceptance history of The Book of Songs.
