In contrast with predecessors’ understanding of body,Merleau-Ponty boosted the conception of body by analyzing the structure of perception.Surprisingly, the contribution Merleau-Ponty made for the concept of body seems helpless to subsequent nature science and common sense,as naturalism is the dominant ideology. For this situation, the paper tries to find theoretical support and practical proof for Merleau-Ponty’s philosophy achievement from Inner Canon of Huangdi and Chinese Medicine.Following this clue, the first part focuses on representing the logic of Merleau-Ponty’s research of body;after that, the author quotes relevant discussion from Inner Canon of Huangdi to argues that, there is fundamental consensus between Merleau-Ponty’s philosophy and Chinese medicine, and more importantly,Inner Canon of Huangdi not only objects naive naturalism, but also goes further than Merleau-Ponty’s research, and demonstrates the practical value of Merleau-Ponty’s achievement.
