This paper focuses on Han Yu's prose which Lin Shu given. Lin Shu's comments on Han Yu's prose have three characteristics including the various forms and large number of chosen articles, flexible and diverse forms of comments, and rich and meticulous contents of comments. Lin Shu's comments foucse on the two points that Han Yu's prose can change and have taste, analyzing the grammar, vigour, emotion and origin of the porse. In Lin Shu's opinion, Han Yu is good at taking different taking different measures to solve various difficulties which makes articles have distinguishing features in grammar. In addition, by using adversion, narration interposed and added description in articles, Han Yu's prose is always intricate and colorful. In vigour, Han Yu is adapt in stopping article momentum but using wrapping skill when it must be. In this way, his articles can be curve. In emotion, Han Yu is skilled in covering up the ture meaning, so the sentiment of articles are always inflexion and tasting. In origin, Han Yu's prose mainly derives from Zhuangzi, Mengzi, Zuozhuan, Shiji and Hanshu. By learning from predecessors, Han Yu can not only take advantages of previous researches, but also exhibit his personality distinctively in his articles. Han Yu and Liu Zongyuan's proses are Lin shu's favorite. In Lin Shu's opinion, although the writting skills and emotion expression of Han Yu's prose are better than those of Liu Zongyuan's, Liu's prose has its characteristics of being antique, underlying and long lasting appeal, and the statement is delicacy and refinement.
