Interpersonal curiosity (IPC) is an important internal motivation in the process of social activities, it is a practical significance to explore the characteristics of interpersonal curiosity and its psychological mechanism. But the literature review found that there is little research about interpersonal curiosity field. Studies have found that high interpersonal curious individual is far more sensitive to the verbal or nonverbal social information in social situations, which have a positive effect to social interaction. Obtaining emotional information and improving the sensitivity of emotional information which as one of the most important social information can promote the formation of college students’interpersonal communication and intimacy, and promote the healthy development of personal growth and self-consciousness, promote the individual understanding of different people and situations. Individual of high emotional sensitivity can easier arouse sympathetic response than others, thus affecting the individual’s satisfaction on the interpersonal relationship. But there is no research on the relationship of interpersonal curiosity and emotional sensitivity, or the relationship of interpersonal curiosity and interpersonal satisfaction in previous studies. Therefore, it is very necessary to research on the relationship of College Students’interpersonal curiosity and emotional sensitivity, and the relationship of interpersonal curiosity and interpersonal satisfaction. Not only can the research provide a new thought for college students interpersonal situation and interpersonal confusion, but also provide certain reference for colleges and universities works of the development of physical and mental health of college students, at the same time as the college students’self-regulation, what’s more, it can further enrich the research in the field of interpersonal curiosity which provided theoretical guidance to improve the level of mental health of College students.In this study, we select college students as the research object and use the self-made scale of college students’interpersonal curiosity scale to explore the overall situation of college students’ interpersonal curiosity. And we study the relationship between college students’interpersonal curiosity and emotional sensitivity, interpersonal satisfaction by the experiment and questionnaire. The results are as follow:(1) The college students’ interpersonal curiosity scale has good reliability and validity, which can be a research tool to investigate students’level of interpersonal curiosity. The scale includes curiosity about emotions, spying and prying and snooping.(2) College students’ level of the interpersonal curiosity belongs to superior middling. The interpersonal curiosity on the score of various dimensions from high to low is snooping, curiosity about emotions, spying and prying. And the score of interpersonal curiosity and every dimension are significant differences in the demographic variables, such as gender, the only child and grade, etc.(3) There is significant correlations in college students’ inteipersonal curiosity and emotional sensitivity, in college students’ interpersonal curiosity and interpersonal satisfaction.(4) college students’interpersonal curiosity has a positive predictive effect on emotional sensitivity and interpersonal satisfaction. |
