Yu Dafu was an important new literature writer in the period of the May 4th Movement.He wrote many far-reaching novels and prose,and when he commented on his literary achievements,the academics could easily ignore the achievements of his old style poems.View of his life,Yu Dafu almost never gave up the old-style poetry,leaving nearly 600 literary grace,vivid poetry.Wandering in the traditional and modern between the old-style poetry,showing Yu Dafu different from the new literary creation of artistic charm,aesthetic attainments and ideological content.There are many researches on the old-style poems,some on the poem which mainly on Yu Dafu’s old-style poem’s artistic characteristics and the theme thought;some like the biography of the characters which slowly unfolding the poet life.But these researches lack of thinking of the combination of Yu Dafu’s old-style poems and new literature.And not only to see the side of the new literati Yu Dafu,but also to see his traditional literati side,that can show the most realistic image of the writer.This paper tries to combine the textual content with the creative subject and the cultural context through the textual analysis of Yu Dafu’s old-style poems,and discusses the interaction between the old-style poems and the old and new cultures in special contexts.This paper mainly includes five parts.The preface mainly discusses the current research situation of Yu Dafu’s old-style poems and expounds the significance of this research.On this basis,the research ideas and methods of this paper are formed.The main part of the paper is divided into three chapters.The first part is the research about Yu Dafu’s old-style poems.On the basis of the detailed combing of Yu’s poems,to discuss thepoem’s poetic temperament and poetic ideas,to form a relatively complete study.The second part is based on the complexity of Yu Dafu’s creation,linking his old-style poems and new literary works to achieve the effect of intertextuality,especially the analysis of influence and collision between "new" and "old".The third part focuses on the historical background of the promotion of vernacular literature in the period of the May 4th Movement.Through Yu Dafu’s poems,we can see if there are potential old poetry writing phenomenon among new writers,and analyze the creative mentality of this cultural group.In order to understand the value of the literary history of the old-style poetry.
