Research On The Performance Of Elements Of Southeast China In Quilts Art

Quilts is an elegant art in which the designers use their thoughts and souls to endow fabrics with lives;combine the regular or irregular broken pieces of cloth;show the decorative effect with the techniques in their finger tips and present spiritual practice with the spirits of craftsmanship.In history,quilts art is popular in the East and West.With the changing of times,the needlework art to which we are both familiar and unfamiliar has gradually become fashionable in modern life.Moreover,it is also updating by following the steps of the era.This paper carries out analysis and research by starting from the origin of quilts art to explore the characteristics and development status of quilts in the East and West;capture the cultural elements of Southeast China and put forward ideas and opinions in this aspect.On the base of theoretical guidance,it has formed a unique quilts art style themed as elements of Southeast China through continuous research and practice.This paper is totally divided into five chapters.The first part is the introduction which describes the research background,research methods,research purpose and its significance.From the first chapter to the third chapter,the paper compares and summarizes the origin,development and ways of performance of the East and West quilts art so as to carry out analysis of the current situation of quilts art at home and abroad,as well as its development trend.From the fourth chapter to the fifth chapter,it is about the thoughts and practice of the author who seeks the elements of Southeast China and makes them integrate into the quilting arts,personal advice,ideas and achievements for artistic works of quilts art.
