The vocal music works of Chinese ancient poetry are especially unique in artistic charm, which uses classical poetry as lyrics and has a profound cultural connotation, far-reaching image and special appeal. It is due to these special styles and characteristics that make it somewhat difficult to sing and teach the vocal music works of Chinese ancient poetry. The author analyzes and elaborates the origin, development,classification, aesthetic standards, singing countermeasure, key effects of teaching and other aspects, and discusses how to perfectly express the abundant emotions in the vocal music works of Chinese ancient poetry as singer and educator, combined with the author’s knowledge and practices in vocal. music.Full-text is divided into three parts: Chapter 1 Divided into three parts, first section delves into the creation background of the vocal music works of Chinese ancient poetry and its historical origin in the history of music education, according to the development course of music history from the production of Chinese ancient music to the development of vocal music works of Chinese ancient poetry in modern times. In the second section presents the aesthetic standards of the vocal music works of ancient poetry in the context of literary beauty and rhythmic beauty.The third section proposes that the key to learning the vocal music works of ancient poetry is gripping the emotional expression of works,improving the levels of students’ humanistic cultivation even their imagination and creativity in the course of teaching practices. Chapter 2 reveals the countermeasure and approach for emotional expression of vocal works in respect of the tonal patterns and rhymes, fullness of articulation, the relationship between lyrics and emotion and the effects of piano accompaniment, from the perspective of a singer; Chapter 3 illustrates three classical poems (A Pledge, Parting at Yangguan Pass,Eastward flows the Yangtze River) as an example, deduces and analyzes these three poems with respect to the literary analysis of poetry, musical features, singing processing and others, so as to interpret the emotions and connotations of vocal music works in a more accurate way, arouse the sympathy among music, singer and audiences, and achieve a more perfect artistic effect while singing solos, songs of Qin and choral works.As a music teacher of secondary school, the author considers that it is very necessary and meaningful to infuse the vocal music works of Chinese ancient poetry in the basic music education, and therefore,teachers should improve their knowledge and self-cultivation while getting involved in the discussion of teaching and make their due contributions to the promotion of Chinese traditional culture.
