Wording Tactics Of C-E Translation Of Loan Contract

The practice report is based on Chinese-English translation of Tianjin Individual Housing Provident Fund Loan(Portfolio)Contract.As an internship in Shanghai E-Visa Investment Consulting Co.,Ltd,the author mainly engages in translating clients materials for investment immigrants.This report aims at putting forward an effective solution to the difficulties during contract translation and investigating translation skills and strategies.The report consists of three parts.In the first part,the report describes the summary and assignment distribution of the project,including the goal,standard and distribution of the translation task.The second part explores the preparation during the pre-translation period.Contents such as the language characteristics of the contract,difficulties during translation,searching of parallel texts and analyzing of parallel texts are to be discussed.Based on the aforesaid steps,the third part analyzes each difficulty and the process of solving these problems.As a result,strategies and skills on translating loan contract are concluded.Through a case study of translation of the fund loan contract,the report reaches the following conclusions: firstly,a comprehensive and overall pre-translation preparation can make the following work easier and well-done.Secondly,summarization of analyzing methods is encouraged at every period of translation through which translation skills and strategies on loan words can be summarized.Finally,communication among team members plays a vital role in teamwork.Translation is not only a job for an individual but a task for a translation team,so a perfect teamwork is important for translation.
