Tolstoy, the contemporary well-known Russian novelist, prose writer, is also recognized as an excellent representative of the Russian literature of Cenozoic, and a master of language art "that can be famous with only two or three short novels". His works in the 1980 s and 1990 s are mainly short stories, though the quantity is not much, almost every one caused highly focus of literary critics when published.Slynx is a successful postmodern work in modern literature history of Russia. It displayed all round way the social panorama of Russia after the big bang, almost including all aspects of daily life, so it is known as the "encyclopedia of Russian life”. At the same time, Slynx is a prophetic dystopian work which makes it a very important role at the end of the 20 th century and the beginning of the 21 st century in the development history of Russian literature."Defamiliarization" theory was first proposed by Russian formalism master Siclofski. Tolstoy. In this novel, "defamiliarization" theory has been widely used and adopted. In this paper, the research is mainly from the following chapters:First, the author elaborated the research background, purpose and significance, and also the current research status at home and abroad.The first chapter made a brief introduction of the novel, explained the concept of "defamiliarization" and illustrated its significance in the narrative literature, especially novels.The second chapter mainly discusses the theme of defamiliarization in this novel respectively from the "weirdness" and the "familiar and unfamiliar society" it constructed.The third chapter discussed the novel's "defamiliarization" from the perspective of narration, mainly relating to the "defamiliarization" narrative perspective and strategies.The fourth chapter explored the "defamiliarization" of people in this novel. Respectively the author discussed the image of intellectual, femininity and the shadow of Pushkin.The last chapter is the conclusion part, mainly summarizing the study of the paper, and making prospects to the future research.
