The Absence Of Chinese Culture And National Cultural Security In The Context Of Cross Cultural Communication

Culture is the life of a nation, the foundation, and the soul of a country. There's no country without its own culture. The confusion of cultural identity, the lack of confidence in one's own culture or even abandoning one's own culture will surely cause the death of the culture and meanwhile, without innovation or refusing to make any progress in its own culture will also lead to the same result. Without culture, countries will perish; on the other hand, countries can be rebuilt and recreated if the very culture of the country exists. The core of culture is cultural identity which is a sense of belonging, so national cultural identity is a matter of national cultural security, strength and vitality of the renewable capacity of the country.This article discusses the relationship among the absence Chinese culture, cultural identity and the security of national culture in the context of intercultural communication.Contemporary society is a society with intercultural communication becoming more common and globalization being overwhelmed. on the one hand, cultural hegemony--, cultural unification, and even cultural Americanization is escalating; on the other hand, we have a long way to go on the following aspects: Chinese culture's influence on our core values of the Chinese nation, promoting Chinese culture to outside world, the establishment of the reasonable interest relation between Chinese culture and the “different culture”, the inheritance,development and innovation of Chinese national culture, the innovation and development of cultural industry system, the impact of the internationalization of higher education on national cultural identity, and insufficient attention on the establishment of warning mechanism on national cultural security and so on; meanwhile, in all aspects of teaching and communication with foreign countries, we have spent too much emphasis on the understanding, respecting and approving of different cultures, making it possible for us to lose our own cultural roots, making us confused on our cultural identity and decreasing our cultural identity at the meanwhile, which will inevitably bring negative influence on the security of national culture.This paper argues that China is composed of the Chinese nation which includes 56 ethnic groups, and that China lies in the cultural identity of Chinese culture. As a result, China's national interests and national interests of the Chinese nation are unified, the absence of Chinese culture means the absence of Chinese cultural identity, means a threat to the security of national culture; To maintain the security of chinese culture is to maintain the security of national culture, and to maintain the cultural identity of Chinese culture.Finally, this paper focus on the on the impacts of the absence of Chinese culture on the security of national culture, discussing how to change the situation of the absence of Chinese culture and how to safeguard the security of national culture, improving the attention to the absence of Chinese culture, to the national cultural identity, maintaining the security of national culture; At the same time, this paper is advocating that we should actively absorb the beneficial ingredients in line with the idea of "harmony in diversity", and on the basis of understanding and respecting the "different cultures", we believe that we could live with different cultures and develop alongside with each other.
