The Application Of Think Aloud Protocol In The Reading Test Of New HSK Band 5

"Think-aloud method" is also known as "think-aloud data analysis method". It's called "think-aloud protocol" in English. Think-aloud method is one of psychology and cognitive science research methods to collect data. There is a wide range of applications about Think-aloud method in teaching outland. This article is about using Think-aloud method to record and analyze testers' thinking subjects by receiving reading test of HSK5, and mainly about discussing reading strategies used in the case of HSK5 reading test, and the differences of reading strategies in different reading subjects. Overall, the main problem of this study are: 1) How the foreign candidates read and complete the thought process in HSK5 test? 2) In the HSK5 reading test, how is the relationship between the choice of reading strategies and the kinds of questions? 3) What are the differences between reading strategies and testers of different reading levels? 4) Are there any relationships between the reading strategies and the testers' behavior in HSK5 test?To answer these questions, this study invited foreign students of Chinese intermediate level(who are going to receive HSK5 test) and Chinese advanced level(who have passed HSK5 test) to participate in the process of HSK5 reading test. This article will provide true and reliable results for the candidates of HSK5 reading test and provide references for the teachers of teaching Chinese as a second foreign language.
