The Annotation Of Mei Jian Shi Hua

Mei Jian Shi Hua of Wei Ju'an refers to numerous poets and poetical stories as a genre of notes on poetry of the transitional period of the Song and Yuan Dynasty.Being unique in history of Chinese poetical theory,it is worth of annotation.Preface and Annotation are two important parts of this paper.The former is research results and the latter is the body of the paper.The preface has four parts.The first part briefly introduces research status and reveals academic values of Mei Jian Shi Hua.The second one inspects the author Wei's lifetime and social intercourse,including his dates of birth and death,the facts of intercourse and his five poems with the purpose of ascertaining Wei' background and aspiration.The third part analyzes the main content of Mei Jian Shi Hua concretely from the point of talking poetry with facts.Wei Ju'an focuses on important issues such as the dark and corruption of the Song court,the crisis of the division and the nation from peril.He extends sympathy to people who suffer from social chaos and flames of cruel war,praises ardent patriots who defend the motherland and hopes to find the Peach Garden to avoid living in the broken pieces.The last part analyzes that Mei Jian Shi Hua attaches great importance to JiangXi poetic school and the river-and-lake poetic school in the Southern Song Dynasty,identities its poetic significance and determines its place in history of Chinese poetical theory.Then is the annotation of Mei Jian Shi Hua.The paper gives explains on people,places,reign titles,poems,allusions and knotty characters,etc.Individual collections,notes and poetry talks of ancient writers and chronological works of contemporary writers are consulted.There are two appendixes.One is the description of Mei Jian Shi Hua in different books such as catalogue of history works and some contemporary works.The other is the collation of Mei Jian Shi Hua.
