Just as the great musician Tchaikovsky said, one of the advantage of opera is that it is able to use a language everyone understanding directly to appeal to the masses. Puccini's opera excerpt "Vissid'arte,vissid'amore" whose beautiful melody makes a good exposition of the subtle emotional changes of the characters in the whole opera, is a representative work in his mature period. The opera excerpt achieves a perfect artistic charm because of its lyric expression, dramatic conflict and friendly language content, which is also an important reason why the opera has long been known as one of the most attractive aria in Italian verismo opera at the same time.The study of "Vissid'arte,vissid'amore" versions selects different versions from some important performing artists in vocal music at home and abroad. For example, some famous domestic artists like Zhangquan, Wang Xiufen and Zhang Liping representing the top level of the national vocal music art performance are analyzed in the paper; while other foreign singers such as Greek-American soprano Maria Callas, Australian soprano Joan Sutherland and Romanian female singer Angela Gheorghiu are also selected to discuss in the paper. To some extent, their singing represents the highest level of singing art in the world. Combined with their singing versions, the author will summarize their singing characteristics in order to find out the commonness with every version. As a result, the article can sum up the connotation of the work"Vissid'arte,vissid'amore"through the former analysis, which may be a help to the later performers.This paper mainly makes a contrast and comparison of different versions at home and abroad so as to draw a conclusion through the analysis. First, the author will present a general situation of every composer and his/her creation background as well as the analysis of the works music melody. Second, the author will give a general summary including the enlightenment which the versions bring to us and our evaluation to them in the history. Thus, the text will introduce the work through five aspects including the selected topic origin and the research overview. Chapter one introduces the composer and the opera creation background. Chapter two makes an analysis of the opera "Tosca" interpretations and music ontology analysis of Vissid'arte,vissid'amore". Chapter three is about different domestic and foreign singers' interpretations of the excerpt "Vissid'arte,vissid'amore". Chapter four is the historical evaluation of singing and the overview of singing style.
