Chinese Ancient Poetry Contemporary Art Songs Analysis And Grasp Charm

Ancient poetry art song is the classic of Chinese art songs. Ancient poetry art songs, which are created by the theme of ancient poetries, have a unique artistic charm and creation features. Then I'll analyze the artistic features of them and put up the questions, including “What should we prepare before the singing”, “what problems will occur during the singing” and “How to deal with them”.In this paper, there are four chapters to describe the theme.The first chapter will describe the origin and development of the ancient poetry art songs. The first section is about the origin of ancient poetry art song. It points out that the Chinese art songs are defined in a broad and narrow sense by the fields, so the origin of ancient poetry art song can be divided into those two forms. Section II reviews the development of ancient poetry art song, separately from 1920 s to 1940 s, 1950 s to 1960 s and from reform and opening up to nowadays.The second chapter analyzes the creating characteristics of ancient poetry art songs. The first section describes the artistic characteristics of the ancient poetry art songs, including how to choose the elegant lyrics and music reflects the unique national style. The second section describes the typical contemporary composers' writing styles and we'll take Luo Zhongrong, Li Yinghai and Wang Jianzhong as examples.The third chapter, which will analyze the singing of the ancient poetry art song, is the key chapter of the paper. It is divided into three sections. The first section includes the desk preparatory work before the singing. The difficulty that happens during the singing will be analyzed in section II. And in section III, three representative songs in this period will be analyzed attentively. The singing parts are analyzed in the aspects of timbre selection, the grasp of pitch and rhythm, the expression of emotions, moisten tunes and cooperation with the piano accompaniment.The fourth chapter describes the relationship between the ancient poetry art songs and the Chinese traditional singing art. This chapter mainly puts forward the methods to solve the lack of “lingering charm" in the singing of the ancient poetry art songs. I think the singing of ancient poetry art song can get enlightenment from the traditional reciting articulation and pronunciation, recitative, drawl, chants, Kunqu singing and singing melodies.Some learners in in ancient poetry focus too much on vocal skills rather than have a great understanding of the works, which leads to the lack of emotion and lingering charm when they are singing. I hope I can enlighten some learners on the singing of the ancient poetry art songs by this paper.
