The Narrative Method Study Of Stream Of Consciousness Film

Stream of consciousness is one of the special artistic approaches in modern art.It was put forward in Psychology in the early period.At first,the concept was famous in the area of literature.Then,it caused much more attention in all kinds of films and television programs.In the history of the world film,the films of stream of consciousness exist vividly with special contents and flexible forms.The special emotion which people have for this kind of work is from its unusual ingenuity.This kind of films advocates their contents should be consisted by non-rational stream of consciousness.It means that their focus of attention is the undiscovered instinctive consciousness of people thus;hallucination;dreamland;consciousness and mentality will be presented in this film.During the process of expressing the above content,this kind of film develops a narrative form which is super-space.Following the human psychological time,it mixes the past;the present and the future up reservedly.This psychological realism looks illogical but it is pregnant and worth researching carefully.However,up to now,the films of stream of consciousness have not formed a constant and unified school.It isn't even put forward in a normal and clear way by ideologues.The way which combines theoretical explanation with shooting practice analysis will be used in this thesis.By analyzing the microfilm called Coming Home,I will analyze the narrative pattern of the film of stream of consciousness and study its space-time form.I hope the thesis will make a certain difference to filling the related theories about the films of stream of consciousness.In the research,The concept of stream of consciousness is inadequately represented.The paper introduces three parts:the uses of stream of consciousness in literature,and analyzes the origin of the stream of consciousness.From cases such as Hiroshima,My Love,Wild Strawberries and Double Exposure and combining with the nonlinear narrative framework,the chronic narrative features and the inner monologue,we can study the narrative method of stream of consciousness.This paper also explains the concept Psychological Time of French philosopher Henri Bergson.Combined with the graduate work Coming Home,this work contacts the narrative method of stream of consciousness,analyzes the theory of consciousness in micro movie Coming Home,and at the same time introduces the innovation of practice.The psychological montage and decompose montage create a fragmented image style.However,this kind of broken images in the narrative time and space is not chaos,the logic is complete,and it is the combination of fragmented form and holistic thinking.In the movie Coming Home,the expression of emotion carries a certain innovative.Not as most consciousness films,this movie timely selections several "node" to express the plot.It also reflects the characteristics of "fewer but better".The paper introduces the skills of hand-held lens,the uses of symbolic technique and the ferry way.This part analyzes advantages and disadvantages of the small hand-held STEADICAM in this film.This paper reflects the progressive transformation.Each part of the research is a link to connect the preceding with the following so that we can explore the topic step by step.
