Objective:To study the individual character of cognitive function of Internet addiction individuals and methamphetamine dependent patients by the detection on the working memory, executive function, affective decision-making ability and social cognition and other cognitive characteristics of Internet addiction individuals and methamphetamine dependent patients. To provide a scientific basis for the intervention and treatment of Internet addiction and methamphetamine dependence. Methods: In this study, the experimental group and the control group are 18~60 years old.We choose the outpatients and inpatients of Wuxi city mental health center, the Internet Addiction College Students of Wuxi Taihu Institute and the Internet users of the Internet cafe which is near Wuxi Qianhu community as an experimental group 1that amounts to 30 people, and choose 30 methamphetamine dependence cases of Wuxi City Public Security Bureau forced isolation treatment as experimental group 2.Another 30 normal people are selected from Wuxi city mental health center workers, interns and residents as a control group. Each group's executive function is evaluated according to the Wisconsin Card Sorting Test(WCST)assessment, working memory according to measurement(WAIS-RC)digit span test, affective decision making ability according to the Iowa Gambling Task(IGT)assessment of Wechsler intelligence, social cognitive ability according to interpersonal social cognitive tasks(IPT-15).Result:(1)According to a deep-going WCST,the participants, that were divided into3 groups, all showed some statistically significant differences in aspects of RA,CC,RE,RC,NRPE and RF(p<0.05).By implementing SNK-q inspection and pairwise comparison, the participated groups, their RA,CC,RE,RC,RFP and NRPE are statistically insignificant(p>0.05).Comparing with the normal groups, the differences, showed on the 6 parameters above, are statistically significant(p<0.05).RA,RE,NRPE of the experimental group are more than control, and CC,RFP,RC of the experimental group are less than control group.(2)By comparing relevant parameters obtained from Digital span test, the result showed that the participants, that were divided into 3 groups, showed major differences, which are all statistically significant(p<0.05);the result of pairwise comparison showed that, between the MA-dependency group and the IAD group, the differences of relevant parameters are statistically insignificant and are all lower than their reference objects.(3)The participants, that were divided into 3 groups, the differences between their final yield and the Block 2,Block3,Block4,Block5 scores are statistically significant(p<0.05).In aspect of final yield, the MA-dependency group and IAD group showed some differences that are statistically insignificant, while the differences between the reference group and the two groups mentioned above are statistically significant–the final yield of the experimental group is less than the reference group;in aspect of the Block 2,the IAD group obtained less score than MA-dependency group and normal reference group, meanwhile, the differences between normal groups and MA-dependency group are statistically insignificant;in aspect of the Block 3,the experimental groups obtained less score than reference groups and the differences among the experimental groups are statistically insignificant;in aspect of the Block4,the IAD group obtained less scores than the reference groups, while the MA-dependency group have some statistically insignificant differences against the reference groups(p>0.05).(4)In aspects of the total score the experimental group and reference groups obtained in IPT-15,dependency and competitiveness, the differences showed are statistically significant(p<0.05).For the experimental group, the differences between IPT-15 score, dependency and competitiveness score are statistically insignificant, while they obtained less score than normal groups. Conclusions: 1.The individuals that were impacted by IAD,and the ones that are MA dependent, have some disparities in aspects of execution ability, memory, social cognition and emotional decision-making ability towards the normal ones.It indicates that Internet addiction disorder and methamphetamine addiction are harm for cognitive functions.2.There are cognitive impairments between normal people and IAD individuals,as well as the MA dependent individuals – the cognitive impairments are somewhat similar and can be used as foundation for classification of disease spectrum. From the behavior impairment ' s point of view,it is more appropriate to say that,IAD is a kind of habituation, instead of a kind of mental disease.3.The Internet addiction and methamphetamine dependent individuals' s affective decision-making ability are different, suggesting that there may be inconsistence between the psychological pathogenesis of the Internet addiction and methamphetamine substance dependence individuals. So the cognitive dysfunction are different.
