A Study On The Building Of Mongolian Compound Verbs’ Semantic Information Dictionary

The dissertation uses Valence grammar theory to carry out comprehensive analysis and research on 1178 compound verbs of "Mongolian fixed phrase’s grammar information dictionary" and try to build the compound verbs’ semantic information database intended for the needs of Mongolian information processing. The contents of dissertation includes following chapters.Introduction explains the importance and purpose of establishing "Mongolian compound verbs’semantic information dictionary" and discusses its meaning and methodology, briefly introduces the research overview of Mongolian compound verbs’ valence and semantic dictionary, explains the research theory, research method and the range of information.The first chapter discusses the rules and methods of semantic classification of Mongolian compound verbs, and divides semantic into four categories,18 small classes.The second chapter briefly introduces valence grammar theory, determines the valence’s quality and the quantity of Mongolian compound verbs, elaborates semantic valence based on corpus.The third chapter introduces the steps and process of constructing semantic information database of Mongolian compound verbs. Appendix provides the information database.Conclusion summarizes the above contents, put forward the task that should be done in the future.
