Northwest Class Historical And Cultural Sites In The New Century Documentary Research

The documentary in China originated form news documentary.The most far-reaching one belong to the documentary on historical themes.Since the new century,the Chinese historical documentaries remove their heavy burden of the past,showing in front of people with a new attitude quickly.In recent years,the theme of many documentaries are presented in the historical features of reginal culture,which place more emphasis on the morphology of the architectural,the natural landscape as well as the culture and history in those regions that have a long history.The northwest,being studied in this paper,is just one of the representatives of these areas.From the TV documentary "Famen Temple" to "Dunhuang",from the well-know "Daming Palace" to "Qiuci Qinci "and"The New Silk Road",each documentary film in recent years has shown more concern to the culture and history in the northwest. This kind of behavior and attitude will make us thinking again.Since the TV documentary "Silk Road" in 1980,documentaries about the cultural and historical sites in the northwest emerge in an endless stream,which plays an important role in the development of the documentaries in China.From the perspective of cultural anthropology,documentaries about historical and cultural sites not only have historical values,but also the practical significance.In addition,this paper will be a combination of historical and cultural sites and historical documentaries of the northwest,which is innovation of research.This paper will place the northwest documentaries about historical and cultural sites in the period of time of a "New Century".The research subjects refer to the full-length award-winning documentaries about the historical and cultural sites.Based on the theories of film aesthetics,culture and folklore,this study treats all the documentaries about the historical and cultural sites in the northwest as an organic whole,analyses and summarizes from the aspects of the artistic style,the aesthetic implication and the narrative techniques of the documentaries,meanwhile,it gives a definition to the documentaries about the historical and cultural sites.The author finally comes to the conclusion that:we should 1) give our priority to deepening the expressive tension in culture and history.2) then establish the subject consciousness and enhance the historical commentary.3) finally analyze history with an unique style and from the angle of an ordinary people.
