Although the Qing Dynasty is the decline of Buddhism, the times is close to modern society, the temples of Qing Dynasty in Nanyang Prefecture is the resource of the modern temples in modern Nanyang.The research of the temples of Qing Dynasty in Nanyang Prefecture plays an important role in the studying of the development of Nanyang Buddhsim and Nanyang tourism.The thesis aims to investigates the characteristics for the distribution of the temples and the feature of the temples’ in Nanyang Prefecture from Qing Dynasty in order to understand the development of Nanyang Prefecture ’s Buddhism,through the extensive collection of historical documents and local records, in the center of the existing chronicles of Ming and Qing Dynasty and on the object of Buddhist temples do the research, Qing Dynasty is the phase for studying, Nanyang Prefecture as the area for studying, counting the whole temples of Qing Dynasty that exists in Nanyang Prefecture, we can find the general characteristics for the distribution and the name of the temples in Nanyang Prefecture from Qing Dynasty.According to the above study, we can draw the conclusion that the terrain condition of natural geographical factors is the most important factor which decide the temples’ distribution of Nanyang Prefecture in Qing Dynasty, traffic conditions, population, economic factors,geomancy and other reasons plays a considerable role in some extent. The name of the temples mainly depends onthe social psychological factors of the social geography.Above all The geographic distribution and the name of temples, as a special kind of human relations have a close relationship to the geographical environment of the area.
