The Empirical Interpreting Report Of Russian Guide In Qinhuangdao

This article is a report based on the interpreting practice in Qinhuangdao as a tour guide for the Russians. The author worked as a Russian practice guide in Sea Rhyme International Travel Agency Co.,LTD in Qinhuangdao for 3 months from June to September in 2015.This report was on the basis of independent Russian tour guide interpreting practice, and the author analyzed and summarized different problems appearing in the interpreting practice and their corresponding solutions.This report mainly includes four parts.The first chapter briefly describes the task of interpreting practice,including its background and content.The second chapter mainly talks about the interpreting tasks,including preparations for interpreting, problems appearing in the process of interpreting and self-reflections after interpreting.The third chapter introduces the problems appearing in Russian guide interpretation in Qinhuangdao and their solutions. Russian guide interpretation is a cross-language and cross-cultural exchange activity between tour guides and the tourists, which will be greatly influenced by the mutual understanding of both sides and the way to express their ideas.The problems that the author meets in the process of tour guide are from the following two aspects. First, the dialect of the tourists will have a strong influence on the guide's understanding of the language itself.Second, some Russian slang and sayings will also interfere the tour guide's understanding of the language. And the target language expression of interpreters is a decisive factor, which affects whether the visitors can understand the scenic spots and cultural or not. Therefore, it is important for interpreters to use guide words flexibly and give a clear explanation of some Chinese culture proper nouns from the perspective of Russian cognitive structure. As a matter of fact, no matter howmeticulous the preparation is, there is still something unexpected occurring in the process of interpreting. So it is a great challenge for the guide to deal with the problems and accidents appropriately.The forth chapter is about the practice summary, generalizing the characteristics of interpreting and summarizing the comprehension of the interpreting practice.
