The Influence Of Parenting Styles On The Mental Health Level Of Junior Middle School Students: The Mediating Role Of Self-concept

Junior middle school students,a group to enter the society,in the physical and psychological maturity stage,gradually become an independent individual,their mental health is highly valued.Therefore,the research uses questionnaires to investigate senior middle school students who are from Xiaxian,in Shanxi Province.Based on the previous studies,the research aims are to investigate the characteristic and situation of the mental health level,parenting Styles and self-concept,deeply study the relationship among the three of senior school students.At the same time,the purpose of the research is also to provide some suggestions for improving the mental health level of junior middle school students.The conclusion of this research are as follows :The whole situation of the mental health of junior middle school students is mild.The mental health level of middle school students,in obsessive-compulsive symptoms,interpersonal tension and sensitivity,anxiety,learning pressure,maladaptive emotional imbalance problems are mild and the total score,the other factors have no obvious symptoms.2.Parenting styles(except the father’s preference,mother’s preference dimension)was significantly correlated with the level of mental health of junior middle school students.Parents and senior middle school students’ self-concept significantly.Self concept is significantly related to mental health.3.Self-concept plays an mediating role of obsessive-compulsive symptons、interpersonal tension and sentive、depression、learning pressure、psychological imblance in puntive styles(father severe punishment,mother severe punishment,father`s refusal、denial,mother`s refusal、denial).4.Self-concept plays an mediating role of obssessive-compulsive symptons,interpersonal tension and sensitive,depression,anxiety,learning pressure,emotional imbalance in controlled parenting styles(father`s overprotection,father`s over interference,mother`s excessive interference,over protection).5.Self-concept plays an mediating role of their mental health factors in care parenting styles(father`s emotional warmth,mother`s emotional warmth).
