The classical age of Greece is the most important in the history of ancient Greece, and it is the most typical period in all aspects for development. During this period, the political, social economic and culture in every city-state have got development. The female is as compared to male gender group in the society, they should play the daughter, wife, mother three important roles, and have to bear the responsibility of breeding offspring, and also managing the family affairs. In classical times, the female in Greek the social status was still low, but it was because of their natural physiological characteristics, the needs of the society and their psychological factors, which enable they could take part in the religious affairs widely in classical Greek, and played an indispensable role. Therefore, in the classical age of Greece, the religious position for female relative to their political, economic and other participation is still relatively high.The main content of this paper is divided into five parts, in the introduction part it is mainly discussed the general research situation in domestic and foreign on ancient Greek female. The second part discusses the scene for classical age Greek female actively take part in the religious festival ritual activities in city-state. This part mainly describes the women can take part in the Dionysia, Panathenaea, Thesmophoria, the cult of Artemis and the cult of Adonis. Women also can held the tournament of Hera. The third part focuses on the special circumstances for the Greek female in the classical period, which can serve as the clergy in religious affairs. This section describes the women can serve as priestess and the selection conditions. In addition, this part also lists the two typical priestesses(Pythia and the priestess of the Athena).The fourth part mainly discusses the reason why Greek female can participate in religious affairs and play an important role in the classical period. The reason can be classified into five aspects:The first, women’s yearn for happy life; Second, the development of economy; Third, the broadness of religious affairs; The forth, women’s spiritual comfort; The Fifth, women need interpersonal communication. For the conclusion part, This part summarizes the difference of women’s religious participation in different areas and the influence of women’s religious participation.
