The Study On The Cultures And Calligraphy Of Inscription In Xiangfen

Xiangfen County is located in the southwest of Shanxi Province with its long history and outstanding talents.There are ruins of Dingcun culture in the old Stone Age,Taosi culture heritage in the Yao and Shun period,Gu Jin State capital of the site,as well as Xiangfen four major business family in Ming and Qing Dynasties and countless historical figures of great influence.Xiangfen's long history gives us numerous monuments,among which those old and mottled relics leave the historical imprint of Xiangfen,and thick and bright inscription witnesses the historical and cultural heritage of Xiangfen.The excavation of "Dingcun site" fills the blank of civilization in the Middle Paleolithic of China,breaks the fallacy of the Migration of the Chinese from the West and confirms Dingcun Man's reproduction in Xiangfen 15 million years ago.They created Middle Paleolithic culture of Chinese nation.The stone left by "Dingcun Man" is represented by axes with large angular shape and the stone balls.Although they are not monument trace,they are like inscriptionless stele recording the imprint of Chinese ancestors and witnessing the root of Chinese nation.The excavation of Taosi site enabled the legend of Yao and Shun era become history and strongly support the five thousand years of Chinese culture,especially the excavation of “Zhushu Flat Pot” which is not only the earliest written text that is found in our country at present,and it is also the origin of the later stone culture.In the long history of Xiangfen County,many figures have had a great influence on the history of China,such as Shinzoxiang Gong in the Spring and Autumn Period,Zhao Dun in Jin State,Cheng Ying,Gongsun Chu,Han Jue who are the protagonists of Sacrifice,Zhang Liang who is an important minister in Han Dynasty,Jia Kui and his son Jia Chong who are famous ministers in Wei and Jin Dynasties,Weichi Jingde who is a famous general in Tang Dynasty(Taiping County being his fief),Zheng Guangzu who is the first four masters,Zhu Haogu who is a famous painter,Gao Bangzuo who is a famous official in Ming Dynasty,Lu Bingchun who is a celebrity in Qing Dynasty,Liu Dujing who is the founder of the emerging industry and so on.Their epitaph and ancestral hall imprint the brilliant history they created.Their uphold loyalty and pioneering spirit flow in the blood of generations of people in Xiangfen.During the Ming and Qing Dynasties,Liu,Wei,Wang and Yang,the four large families in Taiping county(now Xiangfen)are the representatives of the Xiangfen merchant and leaders among Shanxi merchants,being the pioneer of modern industry in Shanxi.They are also the leader of modern national industry and commerce.They make the heyday of Shanxi merchants and hold the national business leader for three or four hundred years,being a bright pearl in thehistory of Shanxi Merchants in Ming and Qing Dynasties.Their great achievements have been flooded by the history been buried in history.However,the stone inscriptions engraved their glorious performance.In addition,Xiangfen county has always been a stronghold of the art of calligraphy,calligraphy masters left countless artworks,such as Don Wu Daozi's tortoise and snake monument,epigraph written by Zhao Mengtiao in the Yuan Dynasty,Zhang Zhuo's righteousness,Wen Zhengming's running script monument in the Ming Dynasty,Dong Qichang's running script Zhoujintang,the earliest Bedford Baishou monument in China,Zheng Banqiao's poetry and literature Monument in the Qing Dynasty and so on,can be regarded as gems of stone inscription in Xiangfen.In this sense,we should not only pay attention to the protection of the stone inscriptions,but also explore,inherit and develop the culture and the value of calligraphy.Only in this way can the valuable historical heritage been inherited from generation to generation.
