First Normal School of Shandong Province was the first normal school in Shandong Province. It was one of the earliest normal universities in China. As a long history of school, First Normal School of Shandong Province was founded in August the Qing Guangxu twenty-eight years. It had been one hundred years in history. First Normal School of Shandong Province not only witnessed the historical process from the rise to the development of the modern normal education in Shandong Province, but also, as the center of the new culture movement in Shandong, it had an important impact to the new culture and new literature in Shandong and the country.This thesis focuses on the relationship between the development of new literature and the education in First Normal School of Shandong Province. The core issues discussed are: 1. How did the New Literature occur in the campus? 2. How was literary education bred and adapted to the occurrence and development of the New Literature? 3. What was the impact of literary education on the development of the New Literature? What is the relationship between them? 4. How did the New Literature force grow in the campus?On the one hand, the reason why First Normal School of Shandong Province can become the center of the new cultural movement in Shandong was closely related with the cultural environment which was effected by the educational reform and practice. As Ju Simin, Wang Zhuchen, they not only took efforts to carry out a series of modern education reform to promote the development of the new education in the school, but also created a good environment for the development of the New Literature.On the other hand, the influence of modern literary education on the New Literature was also reflected in training students. Thanks for the principals managed the school strenuously;teachers and students learned seriously, First Normal School of Shandong Province had cultivated a large number of excellent graduates.In general, under the guidance of the education system of the Republic of China, as a burdened with profound traditional culture, especially the Confucian culture the regional school, the literary education and literary creation in First Normal School of Shandong Province had very important value and meaning in history of literature. It showed how did the Chinese contemporary literature gradually spread through the platform of literary education in schools, after established and developed in the Beijing, Shanghai and other regions.The full text is divided into six parts:Introduction: value and significance of the selected topic, research overviews, research ideas and objectives.The first chapter: the establishment of literary education and the occurrence of the New Literature. After the modern educational reform, there had created a good campus culture environment in First Normal School of Shandong Province. According to the effect of the external environment of social unrest and loose educational environment, modern literary education had been gradually established in the school. Those created a good living space for the New Literature. This chapter mainly addresses the following questions: How did the modern school educational system and the literary education be established in the modern campus? How was literary education bred and adapted to the development of the New Literature? What kind of living space did the New Literature get in the school?The second chapter: the inheritance of the literary education and the New Literature. On one hand, literary education disseminated the New Literature in the form of classroom teaching. On the other hand, it had a subtle influence on the students' cultural quality and ideas in the students' daily life. According to the literary education, it can expand the horizons of students' literature, enhance the students' literary attainments and participate in literary activities of the initiative and initiative. This chapter mainly addresses the following questions: What is the literature in the school? How role did the literary education play in the literary heritage? What role does the teacher play in the literary education and literary inheritance? What was the relationship between teachers and students in the dimension of the New Literature?The third chapter: the literary activities and the development of the New Literature. As an important part of the development of literature and culture, the influence of literary education on the development of the New Literature was obvious to all. It was mainly reflected in the following three aspects: 1. Literary activities had guided a new direction for the New Literature; 2. Literary education activities had created a good cultural atmosphere for the New Literature; 3. Social activities had provided open ideas for the New Literature. This chapter mainly solves the following problems: How to build the campus cultural environment? What were the effects of the development of the New Literature? What are the effects of campus cultural environment and cultural activities on the development of teachers and students which are the main body of literary activities?The fourth chapter: the literary education and the writer's growth. Because of the unique social, political and cultural environment of the Republic of China, there was a close relationship between modern school and new literature writers. From the perspective of the campus, the interaction between modern campus and writer is mainly reflected in the absorption and cultivation of the literary creation by writers. This chapter mainly solves the following problems: Why should the modern school actively attract new writers? How to absorb the new literary writers? How to realize the cultivation of new literature writers in modern school? How did the writers stand out as Zang Kejia, Li Guangtian? Why were not there a large number of outstanding writers on campus?Postscript: The inheritance and resetting of the New Literature.
