The Arrangement And Research Of The Ancient Bronze Mirror In Yiyang Museum

The bronze mirror is one of the most important devices in Chinese ancient bronzes. They appear in the Qijia culture until the Qing Dynasty, the use of time as long as four thousand years. Based on archaeological finds that the bronze mirror is the very popular in the manufacture and the use of filed in our country from the Warring States period to the Qing Dynasty. So as the important carrier of ancient Chinese culture, the bronze mirror is always paid more attention from academics and collectors. Now it has become the independent system of ancient bronze, and become an important research content of China traditional culture.During my internship in Yiyang City Museum, I was lucky enough to contact the museum collection from the Warring States period to the Qing Dynasty bronze mirror. Most of them were unpublished and no one has systematically studied. Based on the results of previous studies, I use the methods of the archaeology typology and the comparative study, etc. First, this paper analyzed the museum's collection of bronze mirror. Based on the full understanding of the bronze mirrors'type, ornamentation and inscription, I made a comparative study with the comparison of other similar specimens in other regions and an analysis study with the background information of bronze mirrors'unearthed. Finally, I analyzed the bronze mirrors'age, feature and they folk culture.
