This is an English-Chinese translation report on The Emissions Gap Report2013, of which Chapter Three and Chapter4is the source text. The main contents of the source text are the assessment of emissions scenarios that could limit warming to below1.5?or2?and polices for reducing emission from agriculture. This report contains four parts. Part one gives the introduction of the translation task and the description of the report structure. Part two describes the translation process specifically, including:the preparation stage before the translation task, such as the preparation of background information and professional knowledge, the expression stage during the translation, such as the comprehension of the source text, the polishing work after the first draft and theoretical guidance. Part three is the case analysis, which is the central part of the paper. In this part I enumerate some specific examples and classify them into three categories:the translation of figures, the translation of terminologies and the translation of complex sentences. In the translation of complex sentences, I put forward four translation methods: amplification, reduction, negation and inversion. The last part is the conclusion part in which I summarize the enlightenment of this project and points out the difficulties of the translation practice, gives suggestions for the future translation and studies.
