Objective To assess the cardioprotective effect of the dexmedetomidine on the serum cardiac troponin I(cTnI)and glycogen phosphorylase isoenzyme BB(GP-BB)in patients undergoing off-pump coronary artery bypass graft(OPCABG)Surgery. Methods Thirty-eight patients with coronary heart disease undergoing OPCABG were randomized to receive either dexmedetomidine(group D,n=19)or normal saline(groups C,n=19)between February 2016 and November 2017.The dexmedetomidine group received a dose of 0.5ug·kg-1·h-1,the control group received the same volume of normal saline. All this was administered intravenously 15 minutes before the induction of general anesthesia.MAP and HR were recorded at several time points as follows:15 minutes before the induction(T0),before intubation(T1),immediately after intubation(T2),after sternotomy(T3),at the end of surgery(T4)and 24 h after surgery(T5).Blood samples were taken at 15 minutes before the induction,at the end of surgery and at 24 h after surgery.cTnI and GP-BB were analyzed in the serum using enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).Results There was no statistical significance in terms of age, sex, bodyweight,American Society of Anesthesiologists physical status scores, ejection fraction, left ventricular end-diastolic volume,NewYork Heart Association classification. There was no statistical significance in terms of mean artery prssure and heart rate in each time point. The concentrations of serum cTnI and GP-BB is no statistical significance at T0 between the two groups. The concentrations of serum cTnI and GP-BB at T4 and T5 were higher than those at T0 in the two groups.Compared with group C,the serum cTnI was significantly decreased at T4 and T5 in group D(P<0.05).There was no statistical significance in the length of surgery, number of graft, bloodloss, length of stay in Cardiac care unit and length of stay. Conclusion Dexmedetomidine influences serum concentrations of cTnI associated with cardioprotective in patients undergoing Off-Pump Coronary Artery Bypass Graft Surgery.Dexmedetomidine have no significant effect on serum concentrations of GP-BB.
