Objective:To investigate the specific value of ADC in Neoadjuvant Chemotherapy for treatment of rectal cancer.Methods:30 patients(clinical patients between II and III)who had rectal cancer between January 2015 and November 2017 in Affiliated Hospital of Qinghai University were selected to accept the neoadjuvant chemotherapy. They also accepted the conventional MRI and DWI scan before and after chemotherapy. And then by comparing the neoadjuvant chemotherapy before and after surgery whether achieve pathology ease into pCR and not pCR group. There were 17 people in the group for pCR and 13 people in the group for not pCR.Last,we should calculate the Length, thickness of tumor and difference of ADC value, and do T test for the data above.Results:1 According to the detection of patients who accepted the neoadjuvant chemotherapy, the change of length, thickness of tumor and ADC value of patients have statistical value.2 There was no statistically significant in the comparison of the parameters between pCR group and not pCR group before and after receiving neoadjuvant chemotherapy.3 Compare the difference in length and thickness of tumor before the chemotherapy between pCR group and not pCR group. The difference do not have statistical value, but the difference of ADC in tumor do.4 Calculate the ADC value of patients who had rectal cancer before and after the adjuvant chemotherapy in ROC curve to get some data: the cutoff value was about 0.375;the corresponding AUC values, specificity, and sensitivity were equal to 0.747,76.9%,and 82.4% respectively;the cutoff value of ADC changing rate was about 0.425,the corresponding AUC value, specificity, and sensitivity were equal to 0.762,76.9%,82.4% respectively. Conclusion:The results of various parameters on MRI before and after NAC in patients with rectal cancer showed that NAC had significant effect on patients with rectal cancer;the DWI image and its ADC value were more effective than traditional MRI in predicting the pathologic remission of the tumor after neoadjuvant chemotherapy.
