Study On The Correlation Between Spino-Pelvic Parameter And Clinical Outcomes In Patients With Degenerative Lumbar Scoliosis

Objectives: To investigate the correlation between Spino-Pelvic Parameter with clinical outcomes after the surgery for Degenerative Lumbar Scoliosis(DLS).Methods: 32 patients with DLS who received Surgical treatment from January 2015 to August 2017 were analyzed retrospectively,The average age was 66.75±8.5 years old(50-80 years old),Including 10 males and 22 females.They were followed up for an average period of(16.44 ±2.11)months and every patient was at least 6 months followed up.Pre-operatively and at final followed-up,Cobb angle,C7 Plumb Line C7PL-Center Sacral Vertical Line(C7-CSVL),Lumbar Lordosis(LL),T1 Pelvic Angle(TPA),Sagittal Vertical Axis(SVA),Pelvic Incidence(PI),Pelvic Tilt(PT),Sacral Slope(SS),PI-LL were measured and Visual Analog Scale(VAS),Oswestry Disability Index(ODI),Short-Form-12 Health survey(SF-12)were recorded at the meantime.The improvement of the radiological parameters and the life quality score between Pre-operative and final followed-up were compared by using paired-samples T test.The correlation between clinical outcomes with Spino-pelvic parameter of final followed-up were analyzed by using Pearson correlation test.Results: Cobb angle,TPA,PT,PI-LL,VAS,ODI of final followed-up were declined(P value of Cobb angle? TPA? PT? VAS and ODI were < 0.001,P value of PI-LL was < 0.05)and LL,SS,SF-12 were increased(P value of SS?SF-12 were < 0.001,P value of LL was <0.05)than Pre-operative obviously.C7-CSVL and SVA had no significant changes in Pre-operative and final followed-up.the symptoms of patients were relieved and the efficacy was satisfied.C7-CSVL,SVA and PI-LL of final followed-up was associated with VAS(r value were-0.322,0.297,0.400 respectively,All the P value< 0.05),PT and PI-LL were associated with ODI(r value were 0.302,0.378 respectively,P value were < 0.05),PI-LL was correlated SF-12(r value was-0.352,P value< 0.05).Conclusion: C7-CSVL,SVA,PT and PI-LL of final followed-up were related to clinical outcome and the PI-LL has the most relation to clinical outcome.
