ObjectiveTo observe the incidence of patent foramen ovale(PFO)in migraine patients, tension headache patients and healthy persons through the cTCD.The incidence of PFO and level of D-Dimer of patients in each group were compared, and then investigated the effects of PFO and D-Dimer on migraine.Methods115 cases with headache who were admitted to the department of neurology in first affiliated hospital of Shihezi university from 2015 in October to 2017 in May were selected as study subjects, the patients were divided into migraine group and tension headache group according to the diagnosis standards of International Headache Society in 2004.71cases of healthy persons were selected as control group.Always seek the consent of the examinee before the examination.the patients'gender, age, clinical characteristics and duration of the headache, past history, smoking, alcohol consumption, family history of migraine, results of cTCD and D-Dimer were recorded.Compared each groups'clinical data, the incidence of PFO and level of D-Dimer.Logistic regression analysis was preformed to study the effects of PFO and DD on migraine.Results1.The incidence of PFO was 42.7%,15%and 11.3%in patients with migraine, tension headache and normal control. The incidence of PFO in migraine patients was significantly higher than that in normal controls(?~2=18.078,P=0.000).PFO had significant correlation with migraine(OR=5.860,95%CI=2.464~13.937,P=0.000).Close correlations had been documented between PFO and migraine(C=0.332).The incidence of PFO in tension headache group was not statistically significant compared with the control group(P>0.05).2.Logistic regression analysis of migraine risk factors for migraine group and control group,PFO(OR=5.771,95%CI=2.225~14.969,P=0.000)and family history of migraine(OR=5.168,95%CI=1.954~13.674,P=0.001)were the independent risk factors of migraine patients,D-Dimer(OR=1.479,95%CI=0.153~14.263,P=0.735)cannot be established an independent risk factor for migraine.3.There was no significant difference in the level of D-Dimer between the migraine group and control group(P>0.05).4.The incidence of PFO in migraine with aura(60.9%)was higher than that in migraine without aura(34.6%)and healthy control group(11.3%),the difference between the three groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions1.The incidence of PFO in patients with migraine was significantly higher than that in normal controls and tension headache groups. There was a higher prevalence in migraine with aura.2.PFO and family history of migraine were the independent risk factors of migraine.3.The incidence of PFO in tension headache group was not statistically significant compared with the control group.4.Compared with healthy group, the serum level of D-Dimer in patients with migraine did not see obvious difference.
