Objective: To study the changes of white matter and gray matter function areas in cerebral palsy children after cervical perivascular sympathectomy by diffussion kurtosis imaging. Methods: a retrospective analysis of 22 cases of cerebral palsy of diffussion kurtosis imaging which preoperative and postoperative of cervical perivascular sympathectomy, compare the FA,MK values of preoperative and postoperative which frontal lobe, parietal lobe, temporal lobe, occipital lobe, anterior limb of internal capsule, posterior limb of internal capsule, genu of corpus callosum, corporis callosi splenium, thalamus, caput nuclei caudate, compare preoperative GMFM-66 value. Results: FA values of frontal lobe, parietal lobe, temporal lobe, anterior limb of internal capsule, genu of corpus callosum, caput nuclei caudati were statistically significant, while FA value of occipital lobe, posterior limb of internal capsulenot, corporis callosi splenium were not statistically significant.MK values of frontal lobe, parietal lobe, temporal lobe, anterior limb of internal capsule, genu of corpus callosum, caput nuclei caudati were statistically significant, while MK value of occipital lobe, posterior limb of internal capsulenot, corporis callosi splenium, thalamus were not statistically significant. The GMFM-66 score was negatively correlated with the FA value, whereas positively correlated with the MK value. Conclusion: the cervical perivascular sympathectomy can improve the cerebral white matter and gray matter function area in cerebral palsychildren, and DKI can be used as a monitoring index for postoperative recovery of cerebral palsy children.
