Retrospective Study Of Fever And Sepsis After Prostate Biopsy

Background and purposeRectal digital examination,prostate specific antigen(PSA)and transrectal ultrasound(TRUS)are the general methods for prostate cancer screening.Prostate biopsy is the most reliable method for diagnosing prostate cancer.Infection is the most serious complication of transrectal puncture and may even lead to death.To explore the early warning and sensitive antiseptic of pyrexia and sepsis with transperineal and transrectal prostate biopsy under B-ultrasound.MethodsFrom January 2015 to September 2017 in our hospital underwent prostate biopsy in 1035 cases,including 43 cases of transperineal puncture,transrectal puncture in 992 cases,postoperative fever and sepsis were 4 cases,all patients with rectal puncture,after review of the diagnosis and treatment of 4 cases of patients,analysis of prostate puncture postoperative fever and complications of the clinical observation indexes and sensitive antibiotics.Results4 cases had a smooth puncture and had fever and sepsis at 24-35 hours after the operation.Blood culture was positive in 2 cases,1 cases were positive of urine,blood and urine culture in 1 cases,pathogenic bacteria were Escherichia coli,2 cases of blood culture positive for beta lactamase(+),3 positive cases were resistant to levofloxacin,after carbapenem anti infection treatment cure.The results of inflammation index,liver function and PSA have a certain increase in the development of the disease.ConclusionProstate puncture can cause sepsis,septic shock and other serious complications,24-48 hours after the puncture is still the key period of clinical observation,the observation time to 48 hours in advance to recommend suggestions after the puncture,the patient was discharged from the hospital before the inflammation indexes,liver function,PSA as a routine examination,and measured the body temperature of patients with fever from the hospital,the immediate use of carbapenem antibiotics.
