Objective:To investigate the epidemiological characteristics of the patients with osteosarcoma in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and provide some original data and medical experience for medical institutions.Methods:the clinical data of 290 patients with osteosarcoma from January 2002 to June 2016 of 5 hospitals were reviewed,Collect the comprehensive information of the patients with osteosarcoma and make statistics on them.The age,sex,family,location,pathological type and first symptoms of osteosarcoma patients were analyzed by computer technology.Results:The annual prevalence of osteosarcoma in Xinjiang was on the rise,especially in 2002-2012 years.290 cases of osteosarcoma patients with Uighur majority,accounting for 56.6%,159 cases were male patients(54.83%)and 131 female(45.17%),and the proportion of men and women was 1.2:1,the average age of 24.95 + 16.59 years,11-20 years old is the peak;The site of the osteosarcoma was most of the knee joints were found(69.7%),pathological type of conventional osteosarcoma is the majority,accounting for 87.2%;the first symptoms of pain and swelling,accounted for 69.3%;Admission was accompanied by 41.7% of motor disturbances,pathological fractures occurred in 7.9%.Ethnic grouping analysis showed that gender,age distribution between different ethnic groups,tumor location and pathological type showed no significant difference(P > 0.05),there was significant difference of the positive rate of serum alkaline phosphatase(P < 0.05).Conclusion:the clinical value of serum alkaline phosphatase in osteosarcoma is higher than that in Han and other nationalities.
