Background: The incidence of mandibular fractures is higher than that of other maxillofacial bones. The fracture sites of mandible are condyle, mandibular angle and body. These fractures may occur alone or occur simultaneously.Third molars are often seen on the fracture line, and the existence of third mandibular molars may affect the risk of fracture of the mandible. The results of this problem are not the same.Condylar fracture,at the same time,is the most common type of fracture of the mandible, and it is such a very high incidence of fracture, and its treatment has long been controversial.According to the location of condylar fracture, the degree of displacement and the age of patients,it is of great reference value to choose the indications of treatment.Condylar fractures need to follow certain indications, implement reasonable treatment procedures and achieve good cooperation. Objective: To analyze the epidemiological characteristics of mandibular fracture and study the relationship between mandibular third molars and mandibular fracture, and summarize the characteristics and treatment methods of different types of condyle fractures, and provide reference for the prevention and treatment of the clinical condyle fracture. Methods: the clinical and imaging data of 141 cases of mandibular fracture were collected, the epidemiological characteristics were analyzed, the relationship between the mandibular third molar and the location of mandible fracture was analyzed, and the types and treatment methods of the condylar fracture were summarized and analyzed, and the data were analyzed with SPSS19.0 software.Result :1)There are more men than women in mandibular fracture. The ratio of men and women is about 4:1,the majority of the young and middle-aged patients. The good location of the fracture is condyle, followed by the chin and the mandibular angle.2)there is a correlation between mandibular third molar and mandibular angle fracture, and there is a statistical significance between them(P<0.05).When the mandibular third molar is present, the probability of the fracture of the mandibular angle is 4.25 times when the third molar is missing.3)there was no correlation between mandibular third molars and condylar fractures(P>0.05).4)there was a correlation between mandibular angle fracture and condylar fracture, and there was statistical significance between them(P<0.05),and the incidence of condylar fracture was 56 times lower than that of mandibular angle fracture.5)in 70 cases of 94 condyle fractures, the internal capsule fracture, the condylar neck fracture and the condylar fracture accounted for 41.5%,41.5%,17% of the condyle fracture,11 side,71 open reduction, and 12 side. The open reduction of condyle was mainly rigid internal fixation, accounting for 92.9%,followed by condylar plasty accounted for 7.1%.Conclusion: 1)The incidence of mandibular fractures is more common in males than in females.Young adults are more than elderly and children. When mandibular third molar is present, the risk of mandibular angle fracture increases. The risk of condylar fracture is lower after fracture of mandibular angle. Therefore, preventive mandibular third molars can reduce the incidence of mandibular angle fractures, but increase the risk of condylar fractures.2)condylar fractures are mostly intracapsular fractures and condylar neck fractures. The main treatment methods are open reduction and rigid internal fixation.
