ObjectiveAccording to the idea of evidence-based medicine, the clinical efficacy and safety of traditional Chinese medicine in treating cancer fever were evaluated by using statistical method.MethodsA randomized controlled trial of traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine in the treatment of cancer-induced fever was conducted from January 2002 to December 2017.The scope of search includes CNKI?WangFang Data?VIP,Reading Library Database?PubMed and Cochrane Library. The two researchers independently and rigorously screened and extracted the data according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria.Stata14.0 software was used to combine the effects of clinical efficiency, recurrence rate and adverse reaction in the treatment of carcinogenic fever, and sensitivity analysis was conducted on the results.ResultsA total of 851 literatures were retrieved, and 20 literatures were included in the literature, with a total of 1583 patients, including 812 Chinese medicine groups and 771 western medicine groups. The data was entered into the Stata14.0 software to merge the data, and the forest graph and funnel plot were drawn, and the Meta results were analyzed. The clinical efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine in treating cancer fever is better than that of western medicine group.Heterogeneity inspection:I~2=0.0%<50%,P=0.787>0.1,think heterogeneity between studies may accept, using fixed effect model combined effect, after the merger OR=3.24,95%CI(2.51,4.19),P<0.00001,the difference was statistically significant between the two groups. The traditional Chinese medicine group reduced the recurrence rate of carcinogenic fever compared to the western medicine group.Heterogeneity inspection:I~2=0.0%<50%,P=0.912>0.1,think heterogeneity between studies may accept, using fixed effect model combined effect, the combined RR=0.25,95%CI(0.14,0.44),P<0.00001,the difference was statistically significant between the two groups. The adverse reactions of Chinese medicine group were significantly lower than that of western medicine group.Heterogeneity inspection:I~2=0.0%<50%,P=0.457>0.1,think heterogeneity between studies may accept, using fixed effect model combined effect, the combined RR=0.15,95%CI(0.09,0.25),P<0.00001,the difference was statistically significant between the two groups.Using the Begg test and the Egger test quantification funnel plot, test publication bias,Begg test P value=0.064<0.1,Egger test P value=0.019<0.1,indicating the existence of publication bias in this study. The fixed effect model is used to make the interpolation method. Before trimming,OR=3.24 under the fixed effect model,OR=3.17 under the random effect model, after trimming,OR=2.628 under the fixed effect model,OR=2.629 under the random effect model. The sensitivity of this study was low,and the meta-analysis was robust.ConclusionCompared to traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine treatment of cancerous fever,Chinese traditional medicine group can obviously increase the clinical effective rate, reduce the temperature rising, and a lower incidence of adverse drug reactions,in improving the quality of life of patients with tumor has more advantages. The use of traditional Chinese medicine, including TCM compound decoction and traditional Chinese medicine preparation, can improve the clinical efficacy and statistical significance, and there is no significant difference in the use of western medicine. The present study is biased, but after sensitivity analysis,it is considered that the sensitivity of this study is low and the conclusion is stable.Evidence-based medicine of traditional Chinese medicine is still in its infancy, theory system is still insufficient, system evaluation is based on high quality, large sample design rigorous,double-blind,randomized controlled trials, and this included in the general literature quality, will ultimately affect the reliability of the results. In clinical practice,it is necessary to carry out more internationally recognized high-quality randomized controlled trials to verify the efficacy and safety of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of carcinogenic fever.
