Clinical Observation Of Auxiliary Treatment Of Partial Seizure Epilepsy Associated With Depression With The Supplemented Chaihu Guizhi Soup

Research objectiveBy observing and studying the clinical data,we explored the clinical efficacy of professor Chen baotian's own compound in adjuvant treatment of partial epilepsy with depression,and further evaluated the therapeutic effect of combined Chinese and western medicine on epilepsy with depression.Research MethodsForty-eight patients with partial epilepsy associated with depression selected by the First Hospital of Wuhan from September 2015 to September 2017 were enrolled in this study.They were randomly divided into observation group(24 cases)and control group(24 cases).The control group was treated with lamotrigine only.On the basis of the control group,the experimental group was supplemented with the supplemented Chaihu Guizhi soup.Before and after treatment,the clinical parameters such as Hamilton Depression Rating Scale(HAMD)17,Beck Depression Inventory(BDI),Epilepsy Quality of Life Scale(QOLIE-31)and seizures,EEG and other assessment of the clinical efficacy of two groups after 12 weeks of treatment.Results1.After 12 weeks of treatment,hematuria,liver and kidney function,electrolytes were reexamined after 12 weeks.There was no significant change in hematuria,liver and kidney function,electrolytes between the two groups.2.Erum NA,5-HT values of two groups before treatment were low,but no significant difference(P> 0.05),after treatment,the serum NA,5-HT value increased significantly compared with the former,while the control group High or not obvious even slightly lower,the two groups was statistically significant difference(P <0.05).3.Two groups of EEG improvement results,the treatment group before and after P < 0.05,while the control group before and after treatment P > 0.05,suggesting that the treatment group after treatment EEG improvement has statistical significance.4.The results of two groups of antidepressant treatment,after 12 weeks of treatment,the observation group was significantly improved rate of 69.6%,the control group was 34.8%,the observation group was significantly higher than the control group,there was a statistically significant difference(P <0.05).5.Quality of life in patients with epilepsy score after 12 weeks of treatment,the scores of both groups were significantly higher than those before treatment,but the score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).6.Control of epilepsy after 12 weeks of treatment,the observation group was 47.8% significantly,the cure rate was 30.4% in the observation group,the observation group was significantly higher than the control group,there was a significant difference between the two groups(P <0.05).7.HAMD score in patients with uncontrolled epilepsy,the observation group HAMD score was significantly lower than before treatment,but the control group patients score did not change significantly and some patients increased score,suggesting a statistically significant difference.8.Adverse reactions: During the study,some patients in the observation group appeared a little scattered rash on the right upper extremity.After the drug was stopped by the patient,the rash self-relieved and no special treatment was given.No one special adverse reactions.ConclusionsThe supplementary treatment of the supplemented Chaihu Guizhi soup has good clinical effect in the treatment of partial paroxysmal epilepsy with depression,and it is worthy of further popularization and application.
