| Background:The FRAX tool is a software popularized by WHO to assess the risk probability of osteoporotic fractures. It has achieved good clinical accuracy in Europe and America. But because of the yellow and white peak bone mass is different, the forecast accuracy of the Asian population fracture risk need to be studied. So,the IOF commissioned Chinese Journal of osteoporosis to assess the risk of osteoporotic fracture in Chinese and Oriental population by FRAX tool. And there are many hospitals to cooperate. Objective:The FRAX software system was used to assess the risk of osteoporotic fractures in patients with primary osteoporosis. The relationship was discussed between different TCM syndrome types, different nutritional status, the number of previous fractures, and the value of bone mineral density with the neck of the femur and the risk of fracture. We hope to To improve the accuracy of FRAX tool to assess the risk of osteoporotic fracture in Oriental race. Methods:A total of 155 patients with primary osteoporosis were hospitalized in Jiangsu Province Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from April 2015 to October 2017.We group these people according to the TCM syndrome type, the nutritional status, the number of previous fractures and the value of bone mineral density. The risk probability of osteoporotic fractures in the main parts of the body and in the hip was calculated. The results were statistically compared. Results:i)The risk of osteoporotic fracture in patients with different syndromes was compared, found that the main body of the fracture risk assessment in patients with Yin deficiency of liver and kidney in three kinds of syndromes in the highest risk of fracture, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);And hip fracture risk assessment in patients with liver and kidney Yin the risk is higher than deficiency of spleen kidney yang deficiency, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).ii)There was no significant difference in fracture risk between all the main body parts or hip joints(P>0.05)when comparing the fracture risk with or without BMD.iii)For the different times of fractures in patients with primary osteoporosis fracture risk were compared, found that both the main parts of the body or hip osteoporotic fractures, multiple previous history of fracture fracture risk was significantly higher than other groups, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).iv)The risk of fracture in different nutritional status was compared. It was found that there was no statistically significant difference in risk of osteoporotic fracture among the groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:TCM syndrome type and the number of previous fractures have a clear impact on the risk of osteoporotic fractures assessed by FRAX tools. When there is no specific value of bone density in the neck of the femur, the risk of fracture brought into the FRAX system after other risk factors is also of clinical guidance.Different nutritional status had no effect on the risk assessment of FRAX tools for osteoporotic fracture. |
