Objectives:To explore the distribution law of syndrome and syndrome elements in children with Bronchiolitis obliterans, thus providing reference for the of TCM pathogenesis and treatment of BO in children. Methods:Based on questionaire, this paper made a cross-sectional investigation of children with bronchiolitis obliterans in the First Affiliated Hospital of Henan University of traditional Chinese Medicine from from June 2014 to June 2017.Firstly,collect the clinical data of children with bronchiolitis obliterans who meet the inclusion criteria, and input the information of the syndrome into the database by using Epidata 3.1.And then transform the syndrome into syndrome factors according to “ syndrome factors scale”,which is compiled by Wenfeng Zhu;Finally, use the frequency analysis and cluster analysis to find out the high frequency syndromes and syndrome elements, and obtain the distribution law of syndrome and syndrome elements in children with bronchiolitis obliterans; Results:According to the inclusion criteria,29 cases were enrolled. The constituent ratio of male was significantly higher than that of female(P<0.01);in the comparison of constituent ratios in different age groups, the proportion of children aged 13 months to ~24 months(51.7%)was significantly higher than that in other groups(P<0.01);in the comparison of constituent ratios of different courses of disease, the highest proportion of children is in the course of 12 months.Among the syndromes,17 syndromes occurred at frequencies greater than 30%,including chronic cough, wheeze and rales, dark red tongue, easy to be infected, phlegm to spit etc.Chronic cough, asthma and rales, three concave syndrome positive are the highest frequency of occurrence in the respiratory system.Susceptible to be infected, anorexia, fever, sweating, weakness, poor sleep are the highest frequency of occurrence in the systemic syndrome.Poor appetite,long-term eating less, often diarrhea, often constipation are the highest frequency of occurrence in the digestive system.Dark red tongue, greasy fur and white fur are more common.Wiry pulse, fine pulse and floating pulse are the common pathological pulse.Among the factors involved, the lung, exterior, spleen, and kidney were the first 4 elements of the syndrome elements of disease location.Qi deficiency,Yang deficiency, phlegm and retained fluid, blood stasis, wind evil and so on is the most common nature syndrome elements. The combination of 3 syndrome elements is the most common compound mode in syndrome elements of disease location. The combination of 4 syndrome elements is the most common compound mode in nature syndrome elements.5-element combination and 6-element combination are the most common compound mode between syndrome elements of disease location and nature syndrome elements. There are 13 isolated syndrome and 16 compound syndrome.Among the 13 isolated syndromes, the syndrome of superficies attacked by wind-heat was the most frequent.Syndrome of yang deficiency of spleen and kidne, syndrome of phlegm and blood stasis obstructing lung collaterals, syndrome of qi deficiency of lung and spleen are the main type of syndromeConclusion:The main lesion in children with bronchiolitis obliterans is lung, sometimes involving spleen, kidney, exterior. For patients in a bad way or with longer course, the heart, liver, large intestine, small intestine, etc may also be affected. For children with bronchiolitis obliterans, deficiency of Qi,Yang and Yin,are the main fundamental nature syndrome elements.Wind, cold, heat, etc are the main superficial nature syndrome elements.Phlegm and retained fluid, blood stasis are the most common vice-syndrome.Early diagnosis and early treatment of bronchiolitis obliterans in children is very necessary. The treatment of bronchiolitis obliterans in children should be based on different pattern of syndrome.
