Objective:The aim of this meta-analysis was to investigate prognostic factors of fulminant myocarditis requiring extracorporeal membrane oxygenation(ECMO)by searching prospective and retrospective case-control studies published in English.Method:The literature search was conducted using PubMed,EMBASE and The Cochrane Library for studies of fulminant myocarditis requiring ECMO published before February,2017.Data was exacted for meta-analysis using R 3.3.2.Mean difference(MD)or standardized mean difference(SMD)was calculated for continuous variables,so did 95%Confidence interval(CI).For dichotomous variables, risk ratio(RR)and 95%CI were employed.Test for heterogeneity was did to determine calculation model.Results:7 studies were included. There were 9 characteristics before ECMO and 7 characteristics after ECMO.Only cardiac arrest was proved relevant to survival rate of fulminant myocarditis requiring ECMO in pre-ECMO patients characteristics.Post-ECMO characteristics, including peak troponin, peak isoenzyme of creatine phosphate MB(CKMB),ECMO duraion, renal replacement therapy, central nervous system, was relevant to survial. Conclusion:The prognostic factors associated with survial were pre-ECMO cardiac arrest. And the prognostic factors associated with survial of post-ECMO were peak troponin, peak CKMB,ECMO duraion, renal replacement therapy, central nervous system.
