In recent years,secondary vocational education as a part of vocational education has been developed rapidly,it aims at cultivating students' ability of application and practice rather than researching.With the development of globalization,A lack of nurses in the world causes the increasing demand of foreign nursing graduates.However,the current teaching methods used in English Intensive Reading in foreign nursing program cannot keep pace with the times.Task-based teaching method was on the rise in the 1980 s.The aim of this teaching method is to enable students to master,understand and apply the language.What is more,students will be able to accomplish the tasks in the process to achieve the aim of teaching.Based on this method,it is quite meaningful for students to cultivate them in the aspects of the communication ability and the ability of applying language.And to avoid the disconnecting from teaching in the class and practical application is also of great meaning in the aspect of teaching to the major of international nursing.According to the reformation tendency of the teaching in the major of international major,the writer will illustrate the content of task-based teaching method theory in detail and the illustration is based on the structure of Will's task-learning.By combining the current situation in the teaching of intensive reading at major of international major in secondary vocational school,research and exploration,the writer will find out the problems and propose the solutions.during this research,two classes of foreign nursing program from grade 14 in Heilongjiang Linye College were chosen,class 2(45students)was chosen as the experiment class and class 1(45 students)was chosen as common class.The experimental class will be taught intensive reading in TBLT method.(Task-Based Language Teaching)while the common class will be taught intensive reading in normal 3P(presentation,practice,production)method.The whole research lasts for a semester.A detailed analysis and conclusion will be made after the pre-test and post-test as well as the survey.The teaching test,analysis of score and questionnaire method are mainly used in this research.The results demonstrates that task-based teaching method is more effective than the traditional teaching method in the aspect of improving students‘interest,confidence and ability of self-learning.The results of this research show us:the task-based teaching method can be put into practical use in the teaching of intensive reading course for the major of international nursing.But it does mean that there is conflict between the task-based teaching method and other traditional teaching methods.Conversely,all these teaching methods are promotive and complementary.Meanwhile,both teachers and students face the further requirement when the task-based teaching are in the application.The concentration of this research is mainly about the combination of task-based teaching method and the class teaching of intensive reading in the major of international nursing.Through the analysis of the current situation in the teaching of intensive reading at major of international major in secondary vocational school and requirement for the ability of students majoring in international nursing,the new teaching mode will be explored.That is,how to apply the task-based teaching method accurately.This will make students apply the knowledge that they have learnt at school into their future jobs.
