Objective1.To discuss the value of automated breast volume scanning(ABVS)and virtual touch tissue imaging quantification(VTIQ)technology in diagnosing early breast cancer.2.To discuss the value of ABVS combined with VTIQ technology in diagnosing early breast cancer.3.To obtain the optimal cut-off value of SWV in differential diagnosis of benign and malignant breast masses.MethodsRetrospective analyzed the image features of 102 patients with 130 breast lesions(BIRADS more than 3 classification,the maximum diameter were less than or equal to 2.0 cm),examined by conventional ultrasound,ABVS and VTIQ technology.Using pathology results as the gold standard,the diagnostic sensitivity,specificity,accuracy,positive predictive value and negative predictive value of conventional ultrasound,ABVS,VTIQ technology and their combination were calculated.The receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curves of different technologies were drawn to obtain the optimal cut-off value of shear wave velocity(SWV),and the areas under the curves(AUC)were calculated for contrasting diagnostic efficiency in early breast cancer.Results130 breast lesions were proved by pathologic results including 58 benign lesions and 72 malignant lesions.The sensitivity,specificity,accuracy,positive predictive value and negative predictive value of conventional ultrasound were 84.7%,75.9%,80.8%,81.3%,80.0% respectively,ABVS were 94.4%,91.4%,93.1%,93.2%,93.9% respectively,the area under the curve(AUC)of conventional ultrasound and ABVS were 0.803 and 0.920.The best cut-off value of VTIQ SWV was 4.18m/s,and its corresponding sensitivity,specificity,accuracy,positive predictive value and negative predictive value of diagnose early breast cancer conducted by VTIQ were 88.9 %,89.7 %,89.2 %,91.4%,86.7%,respectively,and the AUC was 0.893.The sensitivity,specificity,accuracy,positive predictive value and negative predictive value of combined diagnosis for differentiation were 97.2%,87.9%,93.1%,90.9%,96.2% respectively,and the AUC was 0.926.ConclusionsBoth ABVS and VTIQ technology have higher diagnostic value in early breast cancer than conventional ultrasound,but there was no statistical difference(P>0.05)between ABVS and VTIQ technology.Combined application of ABVS and VTIQ technology can improve the diagnostic sensitivity of early breast cancer.ABVS combined with VTIQ were more effective than VTIQ technology alone(P<0.05),but there was no statistical difference(P>0.05)between ABVS alone.The optimal cut-off value for early breast cancer diagnosis of VTIQ SWV was 4.18 m/s.
