ObjectiveTo develop a real-time imaging guided percutaneous transthoracic needle biopsy(PTNB)for thoracic masses in SPECT/CT,and test its clinical feasibility and safety.Materials and MethodsTwenty hospitalized patients with clinically suspected malignant lesions who performed on 99mTc-MIBI SPECT/CT guided PTNB at the nuclear department in Wuxi NO.2 hospital were chosen as research group,Twenty other cases who performed on CT guided PTNB were chosen as control group.Record biopsy average operation time, patients received CT radiation dose, the incidence rate of complications, pathological diagnosis accuracy, and the two sets of data for statistical analysis.Results1.The research group biopsy operation time was(27.55±11.05)min,and the control group was(38.80±11.07)min,differences between the two groups have statistical significance(t=-3.217,p=0.003).2.The research group received CT radiation dose was(2.15±0.51)mSv,and the control group was(3.10±0.95)mSv,differences between the two groups have statistical significance(t=-3.941,p=0.000).3.The incidence rate of complications for the research group was 30.00%(6/20),and the control group was 35.00%(7/20),there was no statistically significant difference in both groups(χ2=0.114,p=0.736).4.Pathological diagnosis accuracy of the research group was 100%(20/20),and the control group was 90.00%(18/20),there was no statistically significant difference in both groups(χ2=0.562,p=0.468).Conclusion1.Compared with the control group, the average time of needle biopsy was shortened and the CT radiation dose was reduced.2.The complication rate and the pathological diagnosis accuracy of the study group was similar to the control group.3.It’s safety and feasibility that Multimodal fusion imaging based on SPECT/CT perform on real-time guide PTNB.
