Objective:To investigate the distribution of osteoprotegerin gene polymorphism in Han Chinese population in Zhejiang,Hangzhou, and to analyze the relationship between OPG gene polymorphism and aortic valve calcification. Methods:Using a case-control design, using polymerase chain reaction restriction fragment length polymorphism(PCR-RFLP)technique,unrelated monitoring in Zhejiang Hangzhou area of 112 cases of patients with aortic valve disease and 79 healthy controls. The OPG gene T950C polymorphism, the correlation between gene polymorphism in normal population and distribution aortic valve disease patients and the gene polymorphism and calcification of aortic valve disease.Results:1.In the Zhejiang area of Hangzhou Han population,OPG gene T950C polymorphism of TC,TT and CC three genotypes,of which TC heterozygotes were the most,TT genotype of CC type is the most rare;allele T alleles rare, followed by C alleles and genotypes and allele frequencies between disease group and control group had no significant difference(p>0.05).2.There was no correlation between OPG-950 gene polymorphism and aortic valve calcification,However,it was found that in the disease group, patients with at least one T allele in the OPG-950 locus were more likely to aggravate the progression of aortic valve calcification than did not,and the effect was statistically significant Conclusion:In summary,Polymorphism of OPG gene in Han population in Zhejiang,Hangzhou. There was no association between OPG-950 gene polymorphisms and aortic valve calcification, but in the disease group, patients with at least one T allele in the OPG-950 locus were more likely to aggravate the process of aortic valve calcification than did not.
