| Background:Osteonecrosis of the femoral head(ONFH)refers to bony changes caused by osteocyte death under the effects of complicated factors, which lead to the fracture and collapse of subchondral bone and the changes in shape and functions of femoral head. The exploration for the etiology of osteonecrosis of the femoral head(ONFH)has got some promising findings, but the morbidity of ONFH is still not under control.Experimental studies have demonstrated that blood lipid was associated with the bone metabolism. However, there is no consensus regarding the relationship between blood lipid abnormalities and ONFH.Few studies have evaluated the associated between the blood lipid level and ONFH.The purpose of this article is to evaluate whether serum total cholesterol(TC),triglycerides(TG),high-density lipoprotein(HDL)and low-density lipoprotein(LDL)concentrations with human ONFH Materials and Methods:A retrospective, comparative study was performed to analysis Clinical data, which were 492 cases of ONFH and 488 cases of non-ONFH.non-ONFH cases replaced by femoral neck fractures.Collect basic information on all subjects such as Age,gender, smoking, alcohol consumption, hypertension, diabetes, and blood lipids in the first day of Hospitalization contain of TC,TG,HDL and LDL.SPSS20.0 version was used to analysis the relationship between blood lipids and ONFH.Result:1.The TC,TG and LDL were significantly high in ONFH group than the control group(P<0.05),but the HDL had no statistical significance in the two groups.2.After adjusting for age, smoking, alcohol, hypertension, diabetes, and blood glucose levels, the risk of femoral head necrosis in the TC levels 4.25-4.95 group and ≥4.95 group respectively was 1.61 times(OR=1.61,95%CI: 1.06-2.45,P=0.025)and 2.29 times(OR=2.29,95%CI: 1.48-3.54,P=0.0002)that the <3.70 group,in the TG levels 1.00-1.40 group and ≥1.40 group respectively was 2.04 times(OR=2.04,95%CI: 1.33-3.13,P=0.001)and 3.94 times(OR=3.94,95%CI: 2.52-6.17,P<0.0001)that the <0.70 group.in the HDL levels1.21-1.48 group and ≥1.48 group respectively was 0.53 times(OR=0.53,95%CI: 0.34-0.81,P=0.004)and 0.58 times(OR=0.58,95%CI: 0.38-0.91,P=0.017)that the <1.01 group,in the LDL levels 2.52-3.03 group and ≥3.03 group respectively was 1.77 times(OR=1.77,95%CI: 1.16-2.70,P=0.008)and2.52 times(OR=2.52,95%CI: 1.64-3.87,P<0.0001)that the <1.01 group,3.After adjusting for age, smoking, alcohol, hypertension, diabetes, and blood glucose levels,The higher the level of TC,TG and LDL,the more prone to ONFH(OR>1,P<0.05),The effect of HDL on femoral head necrosis was not significant(P>0.05).4.After adjusting for age, smoking, alcohol, hypertension, diabetes, and blood glucose levels,TC,TG and LDL levels of different genders are still independent risk factors for ONFH.Conclusion:This evidence shows that the occurrence and development of ONFH were significantly related to dyslipidemia. |
