Neuropsychiatric diseases have always been a major problem to trouble people. And the treatment is also gradually developed during the continuous exploration. In recent years, noninvasive brain modulation techniques have been found to play an important role in the diagnosis and treatment of neurological diseases. It can stimulate the brain by magnetic field or electric field in a non-invasive way to change the brain function.According to the ability to induce resting neuron to discharge, electromagnetic stimulation can be divided into subthreshold stimulation and supthreshold stimulation.Subthreshold stimulation, such as deep transcranial magnetic stimulation(DTMS)and transcranial direct current stimulation(tDCS),is widely used in the diagnosis and treatment of neuropsychiatric diseases, but its modulation mechanism of neural activity is unclear.Indeed, synchronization in network activities plays an important role in cognition, memory and emotion of the brain.Aberrations in the synchronization may result in a number of neuropsychiatric disorders.Single neuron morphology plays a key role in the regulation of neural networks.Although subthreshold electric field stimulation has been widely used in theoretical research and clinical application, the modulation mechanism of single neuron morphological features on network synchronization under subthreshold electric field is still not ful y understood,so this topic is studied about the problem.Firstly, based on two kinds of two-compartment neuron model, the effects of neuron morphology on the two neuron-coupled models were studied under subthreshold electric field stimulation. The coupling model of two neurons was constructed, and the synchronization characteristics of coupled neurons were analyzed. The effects of neuron morphology on the two neuron-coupled models were analyzed. The synchrony regulation of model coupled with different morphological neurons by subthreshold electric field is obtained.Secondly, based on the two-compartment neuron model,a small-world network was constructed to study the effect of morphological characteristics on network synchronization under the stimulation of subthreshold electric field.Based on the SNIC and Hopf bifurcation characteristics of neurons, the influence of morphological parameters on single neuron discharge characteristics was analyzed. Then the mechanism of neuron discharge characteristics on network synchronization is analyzed. The influence of morphological parameters on the synchronization of large-scale network under subthreshold electric field was obtained. This study is helpful to reveal the potential mechanism of single neuron morphological parameter modulate network synchronization under the stimulation of subthreshold electric field. It is of great theoretical guiding for the development of more efficient stimulation scheme and the application of more scientific and reasonable inference in neuroscience research.
